Volunteer Roles

    • Greet people and remind them to sign in.

    • Answer phones.

    • Take messages or pass the phone to relevant people.

    • Assist people in filling out basic forms.

    • Answer questions about activities happening at KGP.

    • Shredding unneeded documents decided by centre manager or a trustee.

    • Assist a staff member in clearing out storage areas

    • Taking recycling and shredding to the designated area.

    • Put items away.

    • Move items to designated areas.

    • Greet people and remind them to sign in.

    • Assist people in filling out basic foodbank parcel forms.

    • Pack food parcels and hand them to clients

    • Sort and put away food deliveries

    • Pack frozen food and fresh veg and fruit packs

    • Maintaining allotment areas

    • Weeding and pruning gardens

    • Planting seeds and plants

    • Working in polytunnels

    • Turn over compost

    • Laying woodchips and stones on paths

    • Caring for the wildflower meadow

    • General gardening duties

YOUTH WORKER JOB DESCRIPTION

 Employer:           Keyham Green Places (CROPS)

Job Title:              Youth Worker

Salary:                  £12.50 an hour

Hours:                  Thursdays 16:45-19:45

Responsible to:    Trustees of Keyham Green Places, Youth Group Leader and the Centre Manager

Work location:  Keyham Green Places, 163 Renown Street, Plymouth PL2 2DT

Terms:                   Probationary period 3 months

                                 Further employment may be available subject to satisfactory performance and suitable funding.
